Zelf Brouwen - Brew Your Own Beer

Brouw Zelf Je Bier!

Brew Your Own Beer!

Choosing for a brewing session with us (at a scale of either 12 or 120 liters) means being there for the entire brewing process, from barley to finished beer.

What does this mean?

- mashing

- filtering

- wort boiling

- cooling of wort and inoculating the yeast

- primary fermentation**

- bottling and bottle refermentation**

- lagering

... all of course accompanied with the proper explanation.

Also, don't be fooled, some will tell you that a brewing session should only last for 3 to 4 hours... not so!

If you want to get to the level of a correctly brewed beer, be sure to count on 6 to 7 hours of work, after which fermentation, refermentation and lagering take an additional 7, 10 and 21 days, respectively, all depending on the type of beer you're brewing. Let it be clear, it takes time to brew a good beer!

And another thing, at other places you will often bottle the beer that another group has brewed previously (to save time and effort, but it's not your beer!), this is not the case at Innova Brewery where you will obtain your own beer.

* except for lagers, beers of spontaneous fermentation and microbially infected beers of course!

** these are steps that take time. Innova Brewery will gladly do this for you, but feel free to come back and do the bottling all by yourselves.

*** from day of brewing to finished beer you should take 1.5 to 2 months into account (!), so you will not take home the bottles of finished beer on the brewing day itself.
